I deactivated the plugin and changed the line of code that is <code>wp_schedule_event(0, 'daily', 'wp_votd_update_contents' );</code> to read <code>wp_schedule_event(time(), 'hourly', 'wp_votd_update_contents' );</code> and it is working great now. I have version 3.5 beta with Wordpress 2.6.1 and the verse didn't refresh for me either.
