One year ago Frank Arrigo launched TechTalkBlogs, a project to aggregate local (Aust. & NZ) .NET bloggers. It started out as an OPML file that Frank maintained, but it grew too large. So the TechTalkBlogs site was born, providing a centralised location to find local .NET information.
This gives us a a way to see the most up to date and interesting news items from around the local technology & blogging community. We have also included the Kiwi .NET Bloggers OPML, (as maintained by Nic Wise) so it’s a truly ANZ community.
I joined a month ago, and I’ve found a whole bunch of great new bloggers through its RSS feed. Today Frank released the stats after a year, there’s now 323 different feeds being aggregated, with 30,462 individual items posted. That’s a lot of stuff!
I wanted a way to promote the TTB site here. Frank has an animated gif banner on his site, but I just not a big fan of the animated gif, so I cracked out Paint.NET and had a bit of a creative moment. Here’s the results:

Scott Guthrie cameos on a Red vs Blue special on channel9. Gotta love RvB. This video is part of the AJAX.NET launch promotion that Scott is involved in, but never mind that, it’s worth seeing just to see Scott take out Donut painted as a blue.
You’ll need to download the WPF/E CTP to view it, it’s only a 1.1M download though.
I haven’t been keeping up with the latest series of RvB, I feel an all-night viewing session coming on!

Brian Madsen has launched the CSharpZealot site, a new C# community site.
The CSharpZealot community is focused on working with Microsoft Visual C# for the .Net framework and supporting technologies.
…
The reason for this community is to share the knowledge of the masses and to bring technical articles and news to the community.
Check it out if you do C# development, and get involved. There’s an Orcas CTP Forum too if you’ve managed to download all 7gig of it.

We’ve recently launched a new feature on Drive.com.au where you can write a review of a car you’ve owned. Love your new RX8? How about the old Kingswood? Post your review on Drive.com.au and let the world know what you think of your car.
As an added bonus, until March 18 2007 every review published on the site can go into the draw for a Samsung 42†Plasma TV & Home Entertainment System.
So go add your’s now. So far, the overwhelming majority of reviews have been positive, the lowest rating I can find is 2/5 and there’s only a couple of them. Come on, where are all the lemon owners? Surely there’s some bad cars out there.
