Also it’s important to note again at this point that you only need to call this once, which is the reason for checking that wp_next_scheduled('my_daily_function_hook') is false. That function will return the next scheduled time for a hook, and false if it hasn’t been scheduled. By checking that this is false, we ensure that the event is only scheduled once.
