Perception have released their own press release in response to JoWood’s initial notice. Perception are saying that JoWood have been in material breach for some time now and that they were going to terminate the contract on the 8th of August, but JoWood seems to have wanted to pre-empt it (probably to try and keep on the good side of their investors). Now while I have no facts other than the press releases, from what I know of Perception, and from their completely unprofessional press release, I think it’s fairly likely that Perception are in the right here.
It’s also important to note that it’s Perception that hold the rights deal with MGM, not JoWood.
The best thing about the press release though is this sentence:
Development on the game will continue uninterrupted at Perception’s Sydney studio. Perception is committed to giving fans the best gaming experience possible.
